Detailed Tour Itinerary

Guwahati, which is the gateway to the Northeast is the perfect crossroad between nature and technology. On arrival to Guwahati, our representatives greet the tourists personally from the airport/train station/bus station, and take them directly to the hotel. Overnight stays are fixed at Greenwood Resort or similar hotels. The day is reserved for temple and park visits while nights are for sessions of meditation/ yoga under the starry sky.

The morning is scheduled for an intense yoga session to enable tourists to soak themselves in the beauty of the land of blue hills and green valleys. In the later part of the morning, the troop can visit the Art of Living Ashram located at Pandu, Guwahati and later pay a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple. The evening time is open for sight-seeing which involves a cruise in the river Brahmaputra.

The next day after breakfast, its time to proceed to Shillong which take around three hours from Guwahati. Popularly known as the Scotland of East, Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya. Tourists are checked-in at a comfortable hotel on arrival. On the way, there is a stopover beside the beautiful Umiam lake also known as Barapani lake. The tranquility of the lake is the best place to partake in another Yoga session.

Shillong has many tourist spots like the Wards Lake, Elephanta Falls, Shillong Peak etc. The evenings here are good for exploring the local markets and shopping.

The third day of the yoga retreat trip is saved for the Cherrapunji trip. After breakfast, it is time to proceed to Cherrapunji, which is in a two hours distance of Shillong. The view of the rolling hills surrounding Cherrapunji is quite breath-taking. Trekking to the Mawsmai cave is always an exquisite experience. The return back to Shillong iis scheduled in the evening.

Checking out from the hotel in Shillong early in the morning, the later part of the journey proceeds towards the famous Kaziranga National Park. It is in a distance of about six-seven hours from Shillong and tourists will reach there by the late afternoon. We will assist them to check in to a jungle lodge on arrival. After the long journey, a session of Yoga/meditation surely helps to relax. Overnight stays are booked in Cherrapunji.

Kaziranga is the home of famous one horned rhino. In the morning, after breakfast, a jungle Jeep safari from Kohora is scheduled, from where tourists can spot the famous one horned rhino along with many other wild animals. By the afternoon, we transfer the tourists to Kaziranga Golf Resort for the night stay. Evening is free for leisure activities. In the beautiful setting of the tea estate we can either do a session of yoga or meditation.

Majuli is the heart of neo-vaisnovite movement initiated by Srimanta Sankardeva and is adorned by numerous Satras located there. We pay our visit to local satras and see some villages in the island.

Morning in Kaziranga is best for relaxation amidst the beautiful tea gardens. After a brisk session of yoga and breakfast, we leave for Dimapur which is the second biggest town in Nagaland after Kohima. It is in a distance of about five hours from Kaziranga and will reach Dimapur by the late afternoon. We check the tourists into a comfortable hotel for an over-night stay. The evening is free to explore the local markets and soak in the tribal culture.

In the morning, we carry out a detailed Yoga session before leaving for Kohima. Kohima is an epitome of cultural zone, and we spend the day visiting the famous tourist spots like Kohima War Cemetery, Naga Bazaar, Zoo and the State Museum. We return to the hotel in the evening and stay there overnight.

After breakfast, its time to check out from the hotel and depart from Dimapur for your flight back home. Tourists have the option either to come back to Guwahati and stay over-night take the flight next day, or fly directly from Dimapur.
